(and those with a legal responsibility) of children with Special Educational
Needs.
The CPPS gives neutral and
impartial advice and information on all aspects of Special Educational

Parent Partnership Service aims to promote effective partnerships between
parents/carers of children with Special Educational needs, Schools and
the LEA. By empowering parents/carers, we enable them to play an active
role in their child's educational progress. We aim to support parents
by providing accurate and neutral information and advice regarding all
Special Needs procedures. We can also 'sign post' parents to other sources
of help. Volunteers, who are trained by the Service, known as Independent
Parental Supports (IPS), can also support parents.
Our primary role is to ensure
parent/carers that those with legal responsibility for a child with
Special Educational Needs are fully informed and included in the education
process.
