Early Years Action Plus

Health, social services and/or the educational psychology services may already be involved with your child. Even if s/he has not been involved before, the SENCO may ask the educational psychologist to see your child and advise on the best way to support him/her.

Outside specialist support services will advise on new targets for your child and strategies to meet those targets.

If Child Health Services have not been involved with your child before, you must be asked for your consent before these services are consulted.

A child may receive special needs provision at Early Action or Early Action Plus up to 5 years of age - i.e. end of 'reception'. Please see School Ages, Curriculum Stage and School Year Table.

For further information please refer to the Code of Practice paragraphs 6:50-6:62
